It's extreamly hard to figure out what access to give people when you are just learning what a program does.  Moore County will talk through how to set-up our security groups, how we manage additional access requests, and how we keep it all managable.  We will share out base security groups and special tips and tricks we have learned throughout the last year.

Drop the sign in/out clipboard at your receptionist or attendance office desk and eliminate hall passes on lanyards by adopting Infinite Campus's digital Check In/Out system. In addition to saving hours of data entry, this paperless system creates real-time attendance entry that is visible to staff, students, and families. Learn how Data Managers and Attendance Leads can quickly batch-update attendance using Infinite Campus's digital tools, including requests through the parent portal. In this session, we will demonstrate how to set up the eHallPass feature to manage student hallway traffic. We will share our tips and tricks for implementation across multiple grade span to, hopefully, make your transition more seamless! 

In this session, Meredith will share how tech tools were used to create a no-cost Work Order System for data managers. With a focus on Google Forms and the AutoCrat add on, district coordinators will be exposed to Randolph County School System's method for managing data manager work orders, course code requests, PowerSchool access, and duplicate student submissions.  

Learn how to build interactive forms for parents to complete through the portal.  We will discuss set-up of forms, assignment, data storage, and data collection.

Join Diane Dulaney, Chief Privacy Officer at the Department of Public Instruction, for a discussion of the three areas for building a data privacy program: preventing harm to students and the PSU; building trust among parents, students, and other community members; and ensuring compliance with federal and state laws. The session will include a review of how to implement FERPA at the school and district level and conversation about privacy implications for real-life situations.
