Brenda is a future-ready educator committed to empowering learners through a dynamic blend of Coding + Ai + DigCit = “A Winning Team,” with a strong focus on Digital Citizenship (DigCit) awareness. With over 26 years of experience in Wayne County Public Schools, Brenda has held various roles, including a Specialist in the Finance Department, Middle School Title I Math Teacher, CTE Business & Information Technology Teacher, Beginning Teacher Mentor, Tech Mentor, and currently serves as an Educational Technology Specialist. Her passion lies in uncovering the “whys” behind educational technology and developing collaborative, research-based solutions with fellow educators. Brenda’s forward-thinking approach, grounded in best practices, led to her recognition as an ISTE Certified Educator. She is also a Certified Blended Learning Facilitator, which has enabled her to enhance instructional delivery through personalized learning, timely feedback, and interactive digital lessons. Her expertise helps students—and educators—gain ownership of the learning process through critical thinking, logical problem-solving, differentiation, and technology-driven engagement. Brenda is passionate about equipping teachers to foster creators, innovators, and problem-solvers through digital learning experiences that prepare students for the future.
