Dr. Chris Smith is an experienced instructional designer and educator with over 23 years in K-12 and higher education. He holds an Ed.D. in Educational Technology from Boise State University and has developed accessible online courses for North Carolina Virtual Public School (NCVPS), where he currently serves as an Education Program Consultant. As a K-12 Master Reviewer and Higher Ed Peer Reviewer with Quality Matters, Dr. Smith has played a significant role in establishing accessibility standards for digital learning. His teaching experience spans the University of South Carolina, Liberty, Southern New Hampshire, and NC Central universities along with Mitchell Community College, where he has designed and taught courses on educational technology, assistive technology, and supporting diverse learners. Dr. Smith is a recognized speaker on digital accessibility and AI in education, dedicated to creating inclusive learning environments that leverage technology to support all students.
