About me
Iris Ellington is a highly experienced educator with 35+ years of teaching and leadership experience in the education industry. She has worked as an elementary and middle school teacher, Reading Specialist, magnet coordinator, district after-school program coordinator, and various curriculum facilitator capacities. Currently, Iris is a Virtual Instruction Consultant in the Southeast Region and portions of the North Central Region of North Carolina, where she works with educators to facilitate professional learning around Blended Learning. Her expertise in curriculum and instruction, inquiry-based, concept-based instruction, and innovative teaching practices has helped countless educators enhance their education and improve student outcomes. Iris has delivered engaging and informative presentations to a wide range of educators. She holds a Bachelor's in Elementary Education and K-12 Reading and a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction.
