About me
Jamie attended Appalachian State University, where he graduated magna cum laude with degrees in Piano Performance, Music Education and History. Mr. Faulk was a music educator with the Columbus County School system for 22 years before he left the classroom to pursue a degree in school administration. He has taught at the elementary, middle, and high school level. During his time with Columbus County Schools, he has been selected to serve as clinician for All-County Chorus 4 times and All-County Band 1 time. He has also had the honor of being selected as Teacher of the Year at two schools, East Columbus High School, and Acme-Delco Middle School. In 2018, Mr. Faulk graduated from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and served as the assistant principal at Central Middle School in Whiteville, NC. In 2019, Jamie Faulk became the principal at Acme-Delco Elementary School in Riegelwood, NC. In 2020, Mr. Faulk moved back to East Columbus Jr-Sr High School, where he spent 18 years as chorus, band, and theatre director, to serve as principal. During the 2022-2023 school year, Mr. Faulk was awarded the Richard Cansler Administrator of the Year award for the North Carolina Association of Student Councils (NCASC) and was named Principal of the Year for Columbus County Schools. Currently, Mr. Faulk serves as Curriculum Support Coordinator and the Beginning Teacher Coordinator for Columbus County Schools. Additionally, Jamie composes music and has the distinct honor of serving as music director for Governor Mike Easley’s 2005 Inauguration. He composed and arranged music specifically for the televised event. Currently, Jamie serves as organist and choir director at Grace Episcopal and Christ the King Lutheran Church in Whiteville, NC. In addition to his work with the church, Jamie performs locally and currently is the director of the Southeastern Oratorio Society.
